Sigma Iota Chapter

Some of my proudest college moments came from improving my fraternity. Initially uninterested in Greek life, I eventually attended a rush event and was impressed by the welcoming environment of Kappa Sigma. Despite my initial skepticism, I decided to join and set a personal goal to become an influential member, aiming to leave the fraternity in a better place than I found it.

Assistant Grand Treasurer

My first major role in the fraternity came upon me by the end of my freshman year. As Assistant Grand Treasurer of my chapter, collecting membership dues posed challenges, especially with members delaying payments or claiming financial constraints. While some genuinely needed payment plans, others used excuses to prioritize social activities over dues. One lesson that I learned in this role was that persistence in doing what is right is never the wrong course of action to take. I also learned that not all appointed chairmen fulfilled their responsibilities, often requiring me to step in and ensure tasks were completed. It was frustrating to see some members neglect their duties, but it taught me valuable lessons in perseverance and true responsibility in proper leadership within the fraternity.

     Grand Treasurer (CFO)

As Grand Treasurer of my fraternity, I took immense pride in my work and achieved significant milestones. One of our major accomplishments was securing opportunities to work at Lambeau Field during events, earning a substantial income from concessions and tips. This steady cash flow subsidized costs for formal events, t-shirts, dues, and brotherhood activities. Our social events, like a groundbreaking homecoming tailgate with a DJ, showcased our fraternity's vibrancy and boosted our campus presence, aiding in recruitment and building connections with sororities. Overall, my tenure laid a strong financial foundation for future fraternity activities, and I spent my sophomore spring semester training my successor while managing ongoing financial operations.

Grand Master (President + CEO)

After Thanksgiving break in my junior year, I was elected as Grand Master of my fraternity, a role I had aimed for with great pride. As Grand Master, I oversaw all chapter operations and served as the liaison between our college, national headquarters, and our chapter. Responsibilities included compiling reports for the school and headquarters, attending meetings, and organizing weekly executive and chapter meetings to ensure smooth event planning and communication. My tenure taught me invaluable leadership and organizational skills, allowing me to empower others and foster a cohesive fraternity culture. I focused on inclusivity and collaboration, ensuring every member had a voice in shaping our fraternity's future. Reflecting on my time, I aimed to leave a legacy of growth and unity, preparing my successor with the knowledge and support needed to lead effectively.

Working with Delaware North & Green Bay Packers

Lambeau Field Booth

During my time in dealing with the financial functions of my fraternity, I was able to enter our group into a contract with a local vendor, Delaware North. This vendor works at Lambeau Field for the Green Bay Packers. Through this venture, our group was able to work each and every Green Bay Packers home game. We would work concessions stands and bars inside the stadium and our group would yield 5% of all revenue and 100% of all tips.

As a result of this work, our group received weekly game checks that gave us more opportunity and flexibility with our chapter finances.
